How to Register for ICAG in Ghana — Complete 2026 Guide

Registration is your first step to becoming a Chartered Accountant. This guide covers every requirement, document, fee and step — so you register with confidence.

Who Can Register?

  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • WASSCE — 6 credits incl. English & Maths
  • SSSCE/GBCE — 6 passes incl. English & Maths
  • Diploma from recognised institution
  • HND from recognised institution
  • Degree / Masters / MBA from recognised institution

Note: You do not need a university degree to start ICAG. A WASSCE with six credits including English and Maths is sufficient. Many of Ghana's top CAs started from WASSCE.

Birth Identity

Passport, national ID, birth certificate or NHIS card

Passport Photo

Recent, clear, plain background — digital format

Educational Certificate

WASSCE, HND, Diploma or Degree as applicable

Academic Transcript

Required for degree and postgraduate holders

New student: Click 'Register' and fill in all fields

Upload passport photo, certificate and identity document

Submit your application

Pay GHS 400 registration fee + GHS 400 annual subscription

If you qualify for exemptions — apply and pay exemption fees. You are now registered.
